Goal Met.......maybe Topic

I had a certain weight in mind when I started my journey. I've lost 64 pounds and reached what I thought would be my goal weight. However I now want to loose 20 more. Anyone else have a goal weight and then change it once they met that goal?

Congratulations on reaching your goal! I had the same experience and just kept setting new goals. I heard Chris Powell say on the Extreme Weight Loss show that people who reached an ideal weight were more likely to keep it off - so that became my final goal. For the last year I have been right in the middle of normal on the BMI charts. I think he is right- I will never put my weight back on. I feel and look like a completely different person. It has been a totally different experience from my weight fluctuations in the past. You can do it too! It is SO worth it!!

Congrats to you both on reaching goals, I like what you said there! I can't see anything wrong with it as long as you are aiming for the "normal" BMI range. I plan to do this once I reach my predetermined goal, at which point by BMI I will still be considered overweight.

That is awesome! I can't seem to manage long term goals I can't wait and then see failure. So I go for shorter goals reach them pat myself on the back and start again. I met my first 10 yesterday and am on to the next 10. It may be childish to some but I need to set myself up to succeed not fail

I'm so happy for all of you reaching your goals! It gives me so much motivation in my weightloss journey. I'm 16 and i've always wanted to be slim like the other girls, so i always did some workout but still ate much sweets. I've never reached my final goal but now i really am determinded for loosing those 20 pounds remaining! (So far i lost 10 pounds, but i just can't stay on track)

I am now 5 pounds away from my goal weight (81 pounds lost). I changed my goal now to get down to 20% body fat by measurement. I am at 25.6% now. I figured that this would be a healthy body fat percentage. It is not the 6 pack abs percentage, but it is one that looks like a healthy percentage on my. My original goal was what I weighed at my peak fitness in my youth. I don't have the same body mass any more and that accounts for why I am still needing to lose a little more.

Congrats

Congrats all! I started weight watchers in March(ish..). They determined my goal weight to be only losing 10 lbs. i lost that in a month and cancelled my membership to just maintain at home. Im now down 17 lbs since I started my journey. Ive had a few cheat days in between but focus really well during the week. i found this app earlier this week as i wanted something that was less "work" then pulling out a calculator for every meal. Might I say, i absolutely love it! I got 2 of my girlfriends to join! Im aiming for another 11 lbs and i will be at goal. Keep on trucking fellow weight losers! <3

Fantastic, SarahJane! Congrats. Tracking is great for losing weight as well as maintaining weight too. Glad MyNetDiary is helping you reach your goal!
