Portion control Topic


Is there a way to portion control with out having to use a portion plate? I have one; and of course I put the food where it's supposed to go but my food is like mini mountains lol. How do I know the proper amount with out weighing my food and also what's the easiest way to judge if I have to eat out? Thanks in advance for any suggestion! ??

Honestly weighing is the only way to accurately determine what your portions are. When I eat out I just pick whatever is closest to what I had and err on the high side for the calories.


Eating out is tough. I try and plan ahead by looking at menus online so that I have healthier options in mind. If you can share a meal with a friend then that's a bonus! Surprisingly we can be satisfied with half a restaurant meal.
