I'm 14 and having trouble losing weight . I'm not over weight or under weight

Why are you trying to lose weight if you are not over weight? Confused?

Are you still growing? If you are staying the same weight but growing taller you are most likely losing body fat .. Not a good idea to aim for weight loss if you are still growing (particularly if you are not overweight) it may stunt your growth.

Dear Hologram02, this is Kathy, the consulting dietitian with MyNetDiary. You are a teen and are still growing. It is expected that you will gain weight with growth. You are 5'8" and only 128 lbs now at age 14. Because of your age, the CDC puts you still within a healthy weight and BMI for your age/sex but you absolutely do not need to lose weight. And I am very concerned that you feel that you need to lose so much - why is your goal only 105 lbs? Also, your average calories intake is only 753 calories and 27 grams protein daily. That is very low and not enough to support growth or an adequate intake of vitamins & minerals. Plus, your exercise calories burned is very high for such a low intake.

Thank you for posting so that I saw what was happening. I am recommending that you stop using MyNetDiary and instead, talk with your parents or trusted adult about what is going on. I don't know if you have an eating disorder or not, but your data looks like it.

I am requesting (from Support) that your membership & access be terminated in 24 hours. That should give you time to read this post and understand why this is happening.

Please understand that I am doing this for your safety. No calories tracker is a good tool for someone actively struggling with an eating disorder. Instead, getting appropriate care/therapy is the safer choice.

When I was your age, I had the same height and weight and thought I was overweight. I wasn't! You aren't! There may be smaller girls, but you aren't fat and don't let anyone - including yourself - talk you into thinking you are.

Be sensible. Be healthy. Don't start overeating, but don't go undereating, either. That leads nowhere good!!

Speak to a trusted adult and your doctor. Work on having a healthy, happy, normal view of yourself. There is enough trouble in the world without making some up.

Good luck to you.

Ugh I'm sorry to post something a little sensitive but why are you losing weight? To peer pressure? Is it school? I'm 25 and need to lose weight but I am so sure that you don't lol. I can understand what your going through if it's a school issue. Try keep up your calorie recommendation and just work out! Trying to avoid belly bulges just quit eat junk food and bread. Most certainly salt, just consume your daily recommended sodium intake also. If your looking for a quick fix try using HITT OK???
