Activity/exercise tracker Topic

A newby here. What's the best exercise tracker? A watch? I'm not sure, but my goal is to streamline more accurate tracking of my activities.

Hi Katrina, I have an IPhone and got a Fitbit Surge of which I like both.
The only problems that go with the combo is that some IPhone apps are not compatible with Fitbit. Therefore one might want to stay with Apple Watch.

Thank you for your feedback - I'll definitely check it out. I'm using the iphone 4 still .....

Hi KatriaLH, your choice of exercise tracker partly depends upon how you will use it. I loved FitBit (and enjoyed how it synced with MyNetDiary) and had it for years. Then I got an AppleWatch and much prefer that. The heart rate, exercise calories, and steps can be set up easily to load into your iPhone Health app, which then links to MyNetDiary iPhone app (free or paid). The other nice thing about the AppleWatch is that you "mirror" your iPhone and view text, email, hear voice mail & answer your calls, etc. It's pretty nifty.

But the AppleWatch is not designed to do splits and more advanced training stuff. In that case, if you buy a fancy sports watch, and it doesn't load data into the iPhone Health app, then you'll need a Maximum membership to sync with MyNetDiary. More info here: http://www.mynetdiary.com/calorie-counter-fitbit-integration.html#fitbitExerciseExplained (see left panel for more devices: Garmin, Jawbone, Withings, and FitBit).

Thank you for your info Dietitian! I'll take a serious look at fitbit and see if it is what I need. I love techy stuff, just not the price tag, as everyone.

Hannah exercise and strength like walking and dance karete and more walk step and day.

Hi Dancequeen21, not sure what your post means. Did you mean to post here about activity trackers?
