Chair exercise Topic


I've just officially started the app today. I'm 51, and obese with stage 4 kidney disease, so my energy level is pretty non existent BUT I've stated by doing a 20 minute chair exercise routine. I'm starting off with small goals of 20 lbs every 3 months until I lose 100lbs.

Day one exercise, complete!

My question is, how do I record this type of exercise in the app? There isn't anything like this that I can see to record.


Hi Cindy.G- Congrats on starting to track! Welcome to the MND community. I am glad you found us! Nice work on taking the time to prioritize yourself with getting started on an activity routine.
I would suggest using "sitting, light effort exercise." I believe it burns about 3 calories per minute. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. We (Kathy and I) are happy to help. Joanna (Dietician)

Hi Joanna! I've been out and about all week this week, which isn't normal for me, so with the extra exercise in the form of walking, I haven't been doing it this week. Home tomorrow, so back at it. Have lost just over 5lbs so far by counting my calories! So happy it's working!
