This area is for folks trying to maintain their weight. How's it going with this phase? Many find it more challenging than weight loss, at least initially.


Yes... I just lost ?? lbs and am now in my maintenance phase... it is harder because my mindset has been in calorie restriction mode for so long I find it harder to eat more but I have maintained since July... still log everything , still strength train and get my cardio in. Basically the same as the weight loss program with a few more calories.


Hi DebJodar52- Fantastic work on losing 100#! I am so excited for you. You must be thrilled with your success and even moreso with keeping if off since July. Very impressive. What tips do you have to share with the group around maintaining? Thanks in advance, Joanna (Dietician)


Keep logging in all your foods and follow your recommended calories allowed. Regularly weigh in and if you seem to be gaining a little due to the increased food intake adjust them down a little... same applies if you are still losing( add a little) and by all means keep exercising. If you have a bad day ... don't beat yourself up.. get back on track. Don't let the one day turn into weeks and months. Have a beautiful awesome day everyone!!


Thank you DebJodar52 for chiming in! I especially like the reminder not to beat yourself up if you fall off track or have a bad day calorie-wise. We are often our own worst critic which really doesn't help us! Take Care, Joanna
