Filling salads Topic

Looking for ideas for filling vegetarian salads but no tofu please I don't like it! Any ideas much appreciated!

adding beans and nuts to any salad will help make it more filling. Make sure it has a little fat as well. Fat might come from the salad dressing or cheese if you eat cheese.

I'm not vegetarian but I do like it. I've found that asian supermarkets will have a lot of different forms. Some marinated and smoked. You could try vegetarian "lunch meat" or "cheese". I'm not a huge fan of it but you may like it.

Sunflower seeds are small enough that they are less intrusive. I like walnuts in salad, but too many and the calorie count skyrockets. I'm iffy on pine nuts. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're not. I think it depends on the dressing.

Chickpeas. I make one using devilled eggs recipe then modifying it by chopping up the egg white instead of filling then with the yolk mixture and adding them back into the mix with the chickpeas. Curried egg chickpeas , yum!

Sounds good I shall give these a try

I love chickpeas :)

I agree- tofu is nasty!

What?

Tofu? I can't.
