Not losing weight or inches Topic

For the past 5 weeks, I have cut out all junk food except for the occasional cheat. Keeping my calories around 1200-1500/day. I started P90X two weeks ago with just doing 30 minutes elliptical when I don't have as much time to work out. I have lost nothing- no pounds or inches and feeling discouraged. Any thoughts/suggestions??

900 calories and nothing past 5pm. I'm 114 and that my secret

Hi there, do weight your self or measure cause some times u might not lose on scale but in inches so keep doing it it is so hard to lose weight and when u see result not really fast that is actually good cause when u loose fast u temp to gain back really fast too so take ur time and one day u will realise how ur body starting to change.

Don't be discouraged. Keep going. The maths of dieting will win out in the end. If you reduce the fuel you are feeding your body then the scales will show weight loss. Just be patient. I could go 10 dys with strict dieting and put a bit of weight on. It is often about your body storing water. Eventually the scales jump down.

The other thing is to be brutally honest with how much you are actually eating. You mention the occasional slip. That is fine but record them in the app properly so you really know what you are eating. Take great care in recording high calorie foods like cheese and mayo because it is easy to underestimate quantities unless you use a weighing scale.

So keep going and be brutally honest with yourself and it will work. And it feels amazing when it does.

Hold yourself accountable on whatever you put in your mouth. Sounds like you are overestimating your exercises and underestimating your caloric intake

Don't give up. You can do this!!

Anyone can feel that way sometimes of course if u actually weighed yourself than maybe ur not drinking enough water or not getting enough sleep

Hi just a thought but your keeping your calorie intake very low and when you are working out intensely you need good nutrition to support that. I have a feeling that the deficit your creating from the exercise may be putting you into starvation mode where your body will not drop the weight. I would make sure you reach your full target calories for the day and consume some good protein. If anything, all your exercise is good for your inside, I have a feeling your outside will balance out with that soon.

Chill its only been 5 weeks.... CONTINUE!!!

It sounds like you are doing all the right things. Could this be a plateau? I recently wentt through one and only moved by 1lb in 3-4 weeks. Even though I was eating 1200cal or less and doing a Jillian Michaels' DVD 5-6 days a week. It happens, but it's started moving for me again now.
