Weight Screen

This screen allows you to track your body weight and review weight changes and trends.

Weight Trend Line

When you weigh in, the number on the body scale is affected by several fluctuating factors, such as retained water weight, food in your digestive system, and glycogen weight. On top of that, body scales are typically not very accurate, sensitive, or consistent - they may display values off by as much as 100-200 grams.

Even if you weigh in consistently in the morning after using a bathroom, the number on the scale may still jump up and down from day to day by a pound or two.

Weight Trend Line calculated by MyNetDiary shows meaningful weight changes, smoothing your weigh-in chart and eliminating the effects of the fluctuating factors.

Trending Weight

Trending Weight is the calculated weight trend line for today. In other words, the y value of the weight trend line for x value of date equal to today.

Weight Trend Forecast

Weight Trend Forecast is also calculated based on the weight trend line. MyNetDiary finds the straight line closest to the weight trend line and then extrapolates the straight line into the future.

Customizing Weight Chart

In Settings, you can customize all aspects of the chart. You can choose between a smoothed line or connect all weigh-ins with straight, non-smoothed lines. You can turn on and off the horizontal weight goal line, planned weight trajectory line, and future weight trend forecast line.

Body Mass Index (BMI)

The screen displays your current BMI. Tap BMI to learn more.
