  • Preheat oven to 400F.
  • Rinse squash and cut in half with a large sharp knife.
  • Remove seeds and stringy flesh.
  • Place squash on a cookie sheet, cut side facing up.
  • Bake squash for about 40 minutes or until a fork gently pierces the flesh.
  • Let cool for 10 minutes. Then scoop out squash into a bowl and mix with butter and salt.
