This piña colada-inspired smoothie will make you dance for joy first thing in the morning. Provides an energizing combo of fruit and protein from the Greek yogurt and protein powder.
1 1/2 cup, crushed Pineapple canned in juice
1 medium, about 7" long Bananas frozen unsweetened
8 oz Greek yogurt plain nonfat
1 scoop Vanilla whey protein powder low carb
1/2 cup Coconut milk canned light
1/2 cup Ice (frozen water)
- Add undrained crushed pineapple, frozen banana, yogurt, vanilla whey protein powder, coconut milk, and ice into a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate. This recipe makes about 42 fl oz. Each serving is 21 fl oz (about 2 2/3 cups).
For rum flavor without all of the calories, add a few drops of rum extract (found in the baking section of grocery stores)!
If you don't have any frozen bananas on hand, peel one and place it in the freezer for about 2 hours.
