1 cup Milk nonfat skim or fat free
2/3 cup Greek yogurt vanilla nonfat
1 medium, about 7" long Bananas frozen unsweetened
2 tsp dry Coffee regular instant powder
1 tbsp Cocoa powder dry unsweetened
1 scoop Vanilla whey protein powder low carb
- Place milk, yogurt, frozen banana, instant coffee, cocoa powder, vanilla whey protein powder, and ice in a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
- Drink immediately or store in the refrigerator. Enjoy! This recipe yields 4 cups (2 cups per serving).
Both coffee and unsweetened cocoa powder have bitter notes. This recipe uses banana and vanilla yogurt to sweeten the smoothie. If you prefer to lower the sugar content, consider using nonfat plain Greek yogurt instead of vanilla, and add stevia or a low-calorie sweetener of your choice.
If you use leftover coffee or espresso instead of instant coffee powder, then chill first before adding to the blender.
