Nutritional yeast adds a cheesy flavor and boost of protein and B-vitamins to your favorite movie night snack.

3 ingredients

...
1 tbsp Avocado oil
...
1/4 cup Popcorn dry unpopped uncooked
...
1 tablespoon Nutritional yeast seasoning

6 steps

  • Select a large nonstick pot with a lid.
  • Put 1 tbsp oil and 2 popcorn kernels in pot and heat on medium-high.
  • Once the 2 kernels have popped, add the remaining popcorn kernels. Cover pot with the lid. Lid should be on slightly ajar (or lid vent open) so that some steam can escape.
  • Cook until most kernels have popped, shaking pot about every minute so kernels do not burn.
  • When the popping slows down a lot, remove pot from heat so that the kernels do not burn.
  • Sprinkle popcorn with nutritional yeast. Divide evenly into two servings.

Tips:
1/4 cup unpopped popcorn makes about 7 cups popped. Each serving is about 3 1/2 cups popped.

Nutritional yeast gives the popcorn an earthy flavor and provides protein and vitamins.
