Hi ZCEK1,
You can choose to add exercise calories to your calories budget or not in Settings. A lot of folks choose not to in order to underestimate total calories burned in order to help nudge them to stay in calories deficit for weight loss. For weight maintenance, some folks might choose to add exercise calories to their calories budget, but if the value looks too high, then it could be that there is an overestimation error somewhere.

If you log exercise, then set your overall activity level to sedentary so your exercise is not being accounted for twice.

Also, check that you are only logging actual net minutes of moving. For instance, a game of basketball might be logged as only a fraction of the total game time - same with skiing, soccer, weight lifting, etc.

Some folks try to minimize error by using a Fitness Device like FitBit and then sync with MyNetDiary to get exercise calories that way.

In terms of how many calories to burn from exercise, it really depends upon how you choose to meet your calories deficit for weight loss, or how you plan to tweak for weight maintenance.
