1.5 lbs to reach my goal - type 1 diabetes 38 years and counting Topic

It's been a long, up and down journey, but I've finally made it to only a few pounds til I reach my goal of 135 lbs. I started this lifelong journey in November 2015, made progress, then fell down the stairs and broke my leg in April 2016. Being laid up for two months caused me to gain every pound back, so I had to start over in November 2016. I'm down 42.5 pounds since then, and am so excited to see my goal literally around the corner. It feels good to be able to fit into sized clothing that I haven't been able to wear since I was 19 years old. My blood sugars are better, my knees and feet no longer ache, and I sleep better. It's challenging to deny myself a treat when the family is having one, but it's so worth choosing to do what is healthy for me.
