Calorie Counting not working? Topic


I'm on my second attempt at this seemingly wonderful program.
The first time I was on the "program" for months with no progress. I tried the recommendations to no avail so I got frustrated and walked away from the program. In the off time I did not especially watch what I was eating, but wasn't stupid about it and did not gain weight. Now I'm trying the program again and the same holds true, no progress. I keep getting the Email reports saying I'm on track so one has to wonder am I some miracle to science or something? Yeah sure, I must be doing something wrong, cheating, etc., but I assure you I am not! I'm consistently coming in under the caloric income EVERY single day significantly. Measuring, weighing, portioning I am for sure!
So I would like to ask if someone there could take a look at my profile and recommend a change. There has to be a combination that works.

Glad you are giving it a try again, but sorry to hear you didn't get the results you wanted.
It sounds like you have been very careful to avoid the common pitfalls of underestimating portions or forgetting to track all foods (as outlined here: https://www.mynetdiary.com/why-am-i-not-losing-weight.html)

What have you selected as your activity level? I recommend most people set their activity at "Sedentary" to avoid overestimating calories burned with exercise.

I would be happy to look at your account if you would be willing to share it with me. Go to "Social" on your app, go to "Invite Friends", then "Connect". Choose "dietician."
Also make sure you have enabled the information you would like to share in "Share Settings."

You may also consider checking in with your doctor to make sure you are not missing anything (such as low thyroid, medications, etc) from a medical standpoint.
