How do I add weights to foods? I want to log Yoplait Cherry yogurt, but it won’t let me add it in grams, only containers.

My scale weighs in standard only, no American units. But even if I had the American units, I cannot figure out how to enter them.

I tried to add a new food, but it didn’t have weights.

The app recommended buying a scale, so I am sure this is possible.

Please help. What am I doing wrong?

Oops. I didn’t think it worked and posted it too many times.

Sorry.

Hi Punkoo-
Welcome to MyNetDiary! The good news is that most foods are listed in grams on the app.
In this case, it sounds like the yogurt you are referring to is named: Cherry light yoghurt yoplait. You have a couple of options. You can look on the food label - It will list ounces (typical containers of yogurt are between 5-6oz) and grams. For example this yogurt is 6 oz or 170g. You can then estimate if you ate 1/2 of the container or 1/4, etc.
-You can also create a custom food using the photo-food service feature.
Here is some more information: https://www.mynetdiary.com/iphelp_photoFood.html
If you cook a lot from scratch I'd suggest using the staple food feature (look for the icon for the folder and apple). It is easy to find gram weights for foods.
Here is some more info on searching using staple foods: https://www.mynetdiary.com/is-there-an-easier-way-to-log-your-basic-foods.html
Hope this helps. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

Thank you!!

I will create foods.

Finding groups is confusing. How can I see the full list on my iPhone?

Hi there Imatoon-
I am not sure you saw my response under the "Newbies" tab so I am also posting it here...
The easiest way to join groups is from the web app. www.mynetdiary.com
Log in with your regular username and password. Then click on Groups and Teams. It is the second toolbar (under the main headings). From there you can see which teams you'd want to join or start your own. BTW: We are in the process of updating the forum and groups/teams section. We are looking forward to better engagement and ease of use on the mobile apps in the near future. Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

@Imatoon agree!!
