Finding My Place Topic

I'm 55 now and have lost 85 lbs. Some would still say I'm Considered overweight, but when I see the reminders of how many years of my life I have taken back by taking better care of me I am reminded of why there is never any going back. Yes I will continue to strive for health and wholeness.. Not perfectly but steadily. I'm finally finding my place mentally and emotionally, that has been a struggle in the last year, but I'm slowly finding this place of somewhat maintenance to be not so scary. This is where I'm at... taking care of me for the long haul. ??

Hi DonnasJourney1964- Wow! What an incredible transformation you have had!
How did you get started? How did you stay the course? I know there are so many folks who would love to hear how you got going and how you continued to prioritize yourself and your health even when life got stressful and busy. Thanks for sharing any tips. You are such an inspiration! Best, Joanna (MyNetDiary Dietitian)

hi DonnasJourney1964 - I'm 51, and at the beginning of what I hope will be a 100-lb. weight loss journey. you're doing great! what you've written here is so clear and helpful - thank you for sharing your insights.

I have been looking for groups on here that are actively in talking about weight journey. I have been with Weight Watchers since Feb 2020 and here since Oct 2019. Just drop Weight Watchers...I have a food addition and free food wow overboard for me. So I'm gone to get serious with counting calories with this site. Sorry I'm over 60 but no body out there to communicate, blog to take up your time when you are about to eat everything in kitchen. Hope somebody out there is still dieting and getting healthy to talk with.

Hi Joycetime! Glad you reached out! Keep posting messages on the forums that relate to topics you want to communicate about for online support. There are many people here in the community tracking calories on a weight loss journey. You are not alone! Please let us know how you are doing. Be well and keep on tracking! Quick Question, do I log cups of green tea as cups of water as well as cups of green tea as art of my daily water requirements?

Kevin

Hi Kevin- You can track water and tea on the app via the water glass icons on the dashboard. I would suggest selecting one of the other, not both. You can count all non-alcoholic beverages towards your water requirement. For example, if you drink a cup of tea, tap 1 glass icon. Note that when you sync MyNetDiary with iOS Health app, the total volume of water comes from the sum of all filled water glass icons. For more information on hydration and fluids from foods, Kathy wrote a great post on the topic: https://www.mynetdiary.com/water-needs.html
