I have lost 13 pounds since last April. Being a male, my weight tends to shift. At times it’s hard to tell if I am making progress. For instance, this week I thought I gained weight but really just weighed in the same. Yet when I tried on some clothes they fit better/looser than before. I mostly need help with staying consistent. It seems I do well for a week or to (work outs/sticking to diet) then I completely relapse (skipping the gym/eating anything). HELP!


BTW my goal is to loose 20-35 more pounds I weigh 264. This picture is from last week.


Hi StephenMe, first, congrats on losing 13 lbs! If you tend to go off plan so often, then do you think your plan is too aggressive or difficult to follow? Can you have a more gradual plan and just work on the big ticket meals or snacks or liquid calories? My experience is that if something doesn't fit very well into regular life, we won't consistently do it.

Where do you think the biggest sticking point it? Dining out, snacking, sweets, alcohol, soda, or anything else? Work on that first. Let me know a little more.
