Keto plan Topic

So I've been on keto for 6 weeks now. With the support of my son and daughter in law. I've been staying with them in Boston. I've got 3 weeks of my visit left to go. I weighed 323 pounds in December x and 314 when I got here in January. I am so happy to say that this morning I weigh in at 295 pounds.
Couldn't have done it without them and I know they will be keeping their eye on me when I get home.
I realise keto is not for everyone but it is working for me. I am walking better without the ache in the back of my hips and obviously the loss of 28 pounds on my knees has seen a great improvement. I feel so lucky to have been given this fresh start. And of course spending special time with my 2 granddaughters.

Fear of fat. No longer. On this keto plan have now lost 24 pounds in 7 weeks. I am no longer afraid to eat fat. Egg and bacon every day for breakfast. Cream in my coffee. Meat and veg for dinner. So what I can't eat bread and cakes. I don't even need them. Not hungry not craving or binging. Less aches and pains. Easiest diet I've ever followed what's not too love. Ok it's very restrictive in choice. So it stops you from thinking about food constantly. Getting my life back to enjoy is most important thing to me now. ?

I've been doing a keto plan as well and really like the results so far!! Started Feb 22 and am down 3" from my waist:)

I have had success as well. Once I stopped and got off track i slowly gained it back. I've lost as much as 30 lbs in 4 months. I had even gotten off all of my insulin...no diabetic meds ...hope to get there again.

Keto is excellent! Good work!

Just under a week before I return home. I have done really well. Lost 22 pounds. Feeling better than I have in a long time. Walking every day and gradually increasing the distance and speed. Knees are happier and the hip ache much improved. Had about 3 plateaus during the time and put some of this down to my not moving as much due to the snow blocking my path and not having easy access to public transport.

I have written up my plans for when I get home. Shopping lists, brief menu plans just to ensure I remain focussed. I know that I will be keeping up with this keto way of life as it has proved for me to be the easiest way to keep on track of losing weight and getting fitter. I look forward to being able to do the things that I have found really difficult over the past few years. Walking, swimming and spending quality time with friends and family.
I couldn't have done it without the support of my son and especially his wife. Spending time laying down more memories with my 2 granddaughters has also been a great booster and they have helped and encouraged me in some small way.
So onwards to phase two next week.
Oh and I must give a mention to this wonderful app. Keeps me on track and I love to see that weight chart going down. Sorry for the long post get carried away. Xx lol

Trynaslim, thanks for sharing this!! It made me smile to hear your victories:) especially the parts of stalling but sticking with it nonetheless! You have a great attitude:) I have been stalled for a week and get a little bummed when the number doesn't go down but I'm feeling better and clothes are fitting better:) it's fun to start to get to wear certain things again and feel your body getting stronger. I got a Fitbit which also motivates me to exercise and move more:) keep sharing your progress! It's motivating and inspiring! I especially like to hear from people that stall and push through it because I know I'm not alone in it. Keep up the good work and CONGRATS!!

Thanks AmyWCK9 x my weight finally moving downwards again. It's hard when you feel you are doing all the right things but it sticks. I have a compulsion to weigh in each morning then look at my chart. I think it's too scary not to know exactly where I am. I also use mynetdiary running app. So I can track my walks and sync them to my net diary app. Nice to hear from you.

Pat yourself on the back Trynaslim! I am inspired hearing all about your progress AND all about your upcoming plans. You've got this sistah! And if you should hit a roadblock, let us know and we here at MND can offer support. Keep goin'n strong!

Thanks Joanna x couldn't have got so far without MND. 290 pounds this morning I'm so happy. Can't wait to get home where I'll have more opportunity to swim and get more exercise. Will keep on following keto. ?????????
