Newbie - countdown to my Wedding! Topic


I stumbled upon this app today and decided to join. I like the format and the way I can customize things. I have been using Myfitnesspal forever but may switching it up for a bit will help. I have been on a weightloss journey most of my life. Currently I am trying to count calories and macros and exercise 2 to 3 times per week.
I am getting married August 4th, 2018 and it is coming up so fast. I am not chasing a number on a scale other than I want the number to go down! But i just want to feel good in my own skin and look the best I can on that day in my dress. I am getting good at tracking and staying in my numbers but I think I need to go a bit lower and I really need to clean up my food and eat more nutritious food.
So I am going to try and do calorie cycling with lower calories during the week and a bit higher on Friday and Saturday and aim to eat more protein and vegetables and less processed food.
Any tips, support and motivation is welcome!


How is your progress going? Think I accidentally calorie cycle (my calories ALWAYS end up higher on the weekends ??). Congrats on your upcoming wedding!


Just getting rid of processed food is a major step and will definitely benefit you in many ways. I like to compare my body to a vehicle. lol! Your vehicles won’t run with sugar in the gas tank because it’s not designed to process sugar. Your body very much like that, is not intended to process unnatural products. When I think that way, it helps me to keep aware of what I put in my body. You’ll burn vegetables and lean protein faster then you’ll burn saturates or added sugars. Hope this is helpful.
