Newbie, first question Topic

Hi, I need to lose 10kg this year, targeted myself with a 6kg loss (starting at 96kg) by end of June. The only time I have successfully lost weight before was in effect by eliminating carb, but I am not doing that now. I've also got a type 1 diabetic in the family and am used to helping count carbs. So whilst I am not going down that road now for myself now - I do know a fair bit about carbs and carb counting.
Today is my 2nd day using the app on Android. I have logged everything I ate yesterday (and drank) and so far today logged breakfast. Here's my question (shame I can;t share screen shots).

I had a breakfast I consider either carb free, or at least very low in carb content
2 eggs, some bacon, a fresh tomato, a cup of fresh coffee with tiny bit of semi skimmed milk and a sucralose sweetener. No bread, no croissant, not oats, no cereal., nothing, yet the app is showing I have had 105g of cards out of daily recommended 241.

I know from caring for a diabetic child that 105g of carbs is quite a bit, and I believe it to be WAY out, by a wide margin for the breakfast I just ate.

I am thinking of paying for the premium MyNetDiary service, but need to know the background data is not flawed first.

Can someone help me understand where the app has deduced that number from?

answered my own question (sort of), logging in to my account on a computer (as opposed to Android app) I could easily see the individual calculations from each food entry and I could see that I had entered 100g of Sucralose, and it had put in 100 carbs. I corrected that (1 tiny sucralose tablet in a coffee) and all is good now. But the question does remain, where should I have been able to see that in the App, (Android)

Hi Guygamps- Welcome to MND! Glad you figured out what was going on with the 100g of sucralose. To answer your question:
From your diet dashboard (on the app) select the three horizontal lines. This takes you to the main vertical menu. There select meals. You can then see all meals for the day and the nutrient summary. From there you can click on "day report" and you'll be able to see the foods you entered per meal and how you fare compared to the target. Does this make sense? Let us know if other questions come up! Have a good week, Joanna (Dietician)
