Katherine is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) committed to helping individuals achieve wellness and disease risk reduction through nutrition education and medical nutrition therapy. Katherine has a special interest in weight control since it affects risk, as well as management of multiple chronic diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and cancer.

Education

Katherine's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Nutrition from Cornell University. Katherine earned her RD credential through the dietetic internship at University of Northern Colorado.

Work Experience

Katherine's nutrition-related work experience includes outpatient counseling in diabetes education, medical weight loss, and genetic metabolic diseases, as well as inpatient (hospital) nutrition care. Before Katherine became an RD, she worked as a research assistant for several studies, as a nutrition software trainer, and as Assistant Manager of Database Services for CBORD. She also worked as a personal trainer while she was a certified Health Fitness Instructor with the American College of Sports Medicine.
