Auto-Correct for Food Names

As you type, the app may auto-correct food name misspellings, for example "straqb" to "strawb". To turn it off on mobile, go to App Settings > Diet Logging > Food Logging > Spellcheck Food Searches. On the website, go to Settings > Logging and uncheck Spellcheck Foods. If a correction is wrong, contact support.

When using the app on a smartphone, typos are common — so the app may auto-correct food name misspellings as you type.

For example, “straqb” may change to “strawb” or “sandqi” to “sandwi.”

If you're not typing in English or entering an uncommon food name, these corrections may not be helpful.

  • On mobile: You can turn off this feature by going to App Settings > Diet Logging > Food Logging > Spellcheck Food Searches
  • On the website: Visit Settings > Logging and uncheck Spellcheck Foods

If an auto-correction is wrong or unnecessary, please contact us — we’ll be happy to fix it.
