Passcode Lock, Touch ID, and Face ID

To set up Passcode Lock, open App Settings > Account & Privacy, then tap Passcode & Face ID on iPhone or Passcode on Android. A PIN remains your backup when using biometrics. If you forget it, registered users can reinstall and sign back in; guest users may lose diary access.

You can protect access to MyNetDiary with a passcode and supported biometric authentication.

Setting up Passcode Lock

  • Open App Settings > Account & Privacy, then tap Passcode & Face ID on iPhone or Passcode on Android.
  • A PIN is always required, even when using biometric authentication—it acts as a backup.
  • You can use a PIN even if your device doesn’t support biometric authentication.

If you forget your PIN

If you can still unlock the app using Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint authentication, use that option to access your diary.

If you cannot unlock the app:

  • Registered account: You can reinstall MyNetDiary and sign back in using your MyNetDiary email and password, or the same Apple or Google sign-in method you previously used.
  • Guest profile: Reinstalling the app may result in losing access to your diary. Recovery is not guaranteed.

Protecting access to your diary

If you use a guest profile and can still access the app, you can register an account through App Settings > Account & Privacy > Create Account. This lets you sign back into your diary after reinstalling or changing devices.
