About Terms & AI Consent Screen

AI features are completely optional and are locked behind Premium or Premium Plus. We do not send any of your personal information to OpenAI.

Some people are seeing a new consent screen in the app — it’s tied to the optional AI tools. Just to keep things simple: free tier in any of our regular apps does not feature any AI features (Free, Pro, Carb Genius, Diabetes Tracker), with Premium the only AI feature right now is Meal Scan.

If you don’t want AI at all, that’s completely fine. You can keep it off, and everything you normally use — food logging, calories, weight, recipes, all of it — works the same. And for clarity: the heavier AI features, like AI Diet Coach or Suggest Meals, are available only in the PlateAI app or by purchasing Premium Plus subscription in a regular MyNetDiary.

Also, just so it’s absolutely clear: we don’t send your name, email, or anything personally identifying to OpenAI. Only the little bits you choose to send — like a meal photo — go through, and only when you actually use Meal Scan.

If the consent screen seems stuck, or the button is hiding under the bottom of your screen, it’s probably your device holding onto an old cached version. Try force-closing the app and reopening it. Sometimes big text settings can push the button too far down, so lowering text size can help. And if it still won’t go away, just email us and we’ll help.

Refunds depend on where you subscribed:

  • Apple requires using their own refund request page.
  • Google users can contact us and we may be able to help from our side.
And if anything is still confusing, annoying, or just feels off — write to us at support@mynetdiary.com . We’ll walk you through whatever you need.
