Should I log exercise separately if I link to Fitbit, Garmin, or Withings?

No, if your tracker records the exercise, do not log it again. Its calories arrive in the daily total, and logging it too would double count them. If the tracker missed it, either log it in the tracker's app and let it sync, or log it only in MyNetDiary or PlateAI. Never log the same exercise in both places.

If your activity tracker is aware of your exercise and includes its calories into daily totals, MyNetDiary or PlateAI will receive these calories as a part of the daily total. In this case, you should not log exercise separately into our apps, to avoid double-counting the same calories.

If your activity tracker does not register your exercise for some reason (you were not wearing it, or it's a static activity like yoga), you have two options.

You can log it manually into your activity tracker's app, or log it, and it will be synced to MyNetDiary or PlateAI; in this case, you should not log it separately.

Or, if you don't log it into your activity tracker's app or log, then you should log your exercise separately into MyNetDiary or PlateAI.
