Tracking While Pregnant or Breastfeeding

The app works for weight maintenance and special diets during pregnancy and breastfeeding. You can adjust calorie targets on your doctor's advice and customize macronutrient goals. For breastfeeding, add about 330 extra calories per day in months 0 to 6 and about 400 in months 7 to 12, and you can log breastfeeding as an exercise to account for them.

The app works well for weight maintenance and special diets, including during pregnancy and breastfeeding. You can adjust your calorie targets based on your doctor’s advice, both in the app and on the website. Macronutrient goals for fats, carbs, and proteins can also be customized.

With a subscription, you can track up to 108 nutrients, including vitamins and minerals. Using a tracker like Apple Watch, Fitbit, or another smartwatch can help automatically balance your calories.

While special support for pregnancy and breastfeeding is in development, you can follow the National Academy of Medicine guidelines:

  • Breastfeeding 0–6 months: add about 330 extra calories per day
  • Breastfeeding 7–12 months: add about 400 extra calories per day

You can log breastfeeding as an “exercise” to account for these calories.
