The standard water glass (or cup) size is 8 fluid ounces (fl oz) by default.
Staying well-hydrated has many health benefits! For a deeper dive into hydration and fluid needs, please refer to the Water Needs article.
The water tracker offers a powerful and flexible way to monitor your daily hydration. It includes:
- Customizable goals
- Progress statistics
- Optional reminders
Tracking water helps many people ensure they drink enough fluids throughout the day.
Note: Water intake is not factored into weight loss calculations, as hydration does not appear to directly influence weight loss.
Glass Size and App Integration: In the Water Tracker settings, you can:
- Adjust your glass size
- Change units (oz/ml)
- Connect with Apple Health on iOS and Health Connect on Android
Water Total Changes or Returns to Zero:
If your manually logged water changes or returns to zero after syncing, check whether water downloads are enabled for a connected service. For example, incoming Google Health/ex-Fitbit water totals may be overriding the amount you entered in MyNetDiary.
If you prefer to log water directly in MyNetDiary, temporarily disable Fitbit water downloads on the MyNetDiary website under Settings > Apps & Devices > Fitbit Settings > Nutrition > Water Glasses. This pauses water imports from Fitbit; leave the other sync settings unchanged. Then log your next water serving and check whether it remains recorded for the same date after the next sync. If the issue continues, contact Support with the affected date and a screenshot.
Additional Features for Subscribers: With a subscription, advanced water tracking is available:
- Create multiple glass or bottle sizes
- Set a daily water goal
- Enable reminders to drink water
- View charts based on your logged water intake
These options are available via the Water screen settings in the mobile app or on the web account page.
