To import recipes into MyNetDiary or PlateAI depending on your device:
Import from Recipe Apps and Other Sources
Recipes can be imported either by copying and pasting recipe text or by sharing a recipe URL from a supported website or recipe app.
If a recipe is stored in another recipe app, Notes, email, or another source as text, you can copy and paste it into MyNetDiary or PlateAI. Open the recipe, copy the ingredients and cooking instructions, then go to Recipe Import and select Paste Ingredients and Cooking Directions. Paste the copied text, tap Import, review the ingredient matches, and make any needed corrections before saving the recipe.
Another option, especially useful if you already found the recipe you want to import to our apps, is using "share" functionality built into iOS. You will be using the Share button in Safari or your recipe app (such as Paprika or AllRecipes apps.) Please see Importing Recipes from iOS Web Browser and Recipe Apps article for detailed, step-by-step instructions.
Paprika Note: MyNetDiary and PlateAI can import a recipe only if the recipe has a URL, i.e. can be shared by Paprika. Paprika app does not support sharing links to custom recipes. Technically, recipe import works by reading web pages and the Paprika app provides links to web pages for any imported recipe but not for custom recipes.
Importing recipes from iPhone Notes:
- Open the recipe in the Notes app.
- Copy the recipe text, including ingredients and cooking instructions.
- Open MyNetDiary or PlateAI.
- Go to the 'Me' tab and select 'Recipe Import.'
- Select "Paste Ingredients and Cooking Directions."
- Paste the copied recipe text and tap "Import."
- Review the ingredient matches and make any necessary adjustments before saving the recipe.
