Macronutrient Targets Changing from Day to Day

Your macro targets change daily because of Calorie Cycling, set under My Weight Goal & Plan > Cycling, or Add Exercise to Calorie Budget. With cycling on, daily calories and macros follow your weekly schedule. With the exercise setting on, your budget rises when you log exercise. To keep macros the same each day, turn both settings off.

If your macronutrient targets seem to change daily, it’s likely due to one or both of these settings:

  1. Calorie Cycling: If you've set up a weekly calorie cycle under My Weight Goal & Plan > Cycling, your daily calorie budget—and therefore your macros—will vary based on that schedule.
  2. Add Exercise to Calorie Budget: If this setting is turned on, your daily calorie budget increases when you log exercise. The extra calories are distributed across macros based on your current ratio.

How to Keep Macros the Same Each Day: To stop your macro targets from changing, turn off both:

  • Calorie Cycling
  • Add Exercise to Calorie Budget

When either setting is on, daily calories—and macro targets—will adjust to match the plan. Calories can’t be added without affecting macros.
