In addition to energy tracking (in Calorie or kilojoule units,) our dieting service supports tracking of the 108 vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients absolutely free of charge. You can select nutrients you want to track on the food log screens (such as breakfast), Dashboard, and reports and set custom nutrient goals.
Selecting Nutrients in Mobile Apps
In the iPhone and Android apps, you can select nutrients for food log and nutrients for the Dashboard.
Nutrients can be selected for Food Log on any meal screen, by scrolling below and tapping Edit my Nutrients on iOS and Targets on Android. These nutrients will be also displayed in nutrient reports. In the iPad app, use the top-right menu button on the Meals screen.
You can also select nutrients on the Nutrients tab of My Weight Goal and Plan screen. On this tab, you can also enter target values for the selected nutrients.
See the related tutorial video.
Nutrients for Dashboard
In the mobile app, you can use the Customize Dashboard (just called Customize on Android) button at the bottom of the Dashboard screen. Add nutrients you want to the Dashboard and then drag them to the position you want.
Website
Online, you can select nutrients on the Plan page. Use the "Edit other nutrient targets" link in the "Other Nutrients to Track" section.
Additional information
We recommend selecting only the most important for you nutrients so that they fit into the screen. Our system always tracks all nutrients, selected or not, and you can see all of them on the Report page.
To learn how to set up and track your nutrient targets, see our article: Planning Your Nutrient Needs.
For setting specific targets for macronutrients such as carbs, protein, and fat, refer to: Setting Specific Macronutrient Targets.
Please see the article Customizing Nutrient Goals for additional information and recommendations .
Important to know
Please make sure your logged food has the specific nutrient listed in the app. Some vendors do not add all nutrients to the label, so it might be missing from our database. You can add it yourself to the product by using the Copy & Customize feature.
