Common questions about Community and Sharing
What can I do in the MyNetDiary Community?
The Community has forums moderated by the Support Team and Registered Dietitians, interest-based groups, a personal wall, friends, private chats, and an Ask RD feature for dietitian advice. Participation is anonymous unless you choose to share personal details. Without a Community Profile you can only view public posts and group details.
Can I share my food diary with a friend?
Yes, in the iOS and Android apps. You need at least one Community friend, with Share Food Diary enabled in both profiles. Enable it when adding a friend or later. Your friend's meals are displayed for the last 3 days, and you can copy them into your food log.
Can I edit a Community post after publishing it?
Yes, but only within 60 minutes of posting. Open the Community tab, tap the three dots at the upper right, choose My Profile, scroll to My Wall, tap the green dots next to the post, and choose Edit. After 60 minutes editing is impossible, so delete the post and write a new one.
How can I share a recipe with someone who uses a different phone?
On iOS or Android, open Me > Manage My Foods > Recipes > View Recipe, tap the three dots, then Share > Link. The recipient opens the link to view and save the recipe in their app. Without the app installed, the link opens a recipe web page with download buttons for iOS and Android.
